Tammy Nguyen, O.D. graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2000. She practiced in Chicago before returning to the Bay Area to join Pacific Eye Specialists in 2003.
She is a glaucoma certified optometrist by the California Board of Optometry. She's familiar with all the latest technology in fitting contact lenses including soft lenses, gas permeable lenses, and hybrid lenses to correct myopia, hyperopia, presbyopia, and astigmatism. She is the President Emeritus of the San Mateo County Optometric Society. She holds memberships in the California Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She enjoys running and has completed a few marathons. She's contemplating a triathlon.
